[Holley] Mir3 holley 3.55 EVERYTHING setup. ( i am an idiot)

Basically i have downloaded EVERY file on this topic:-

However after downloading everything i have NO idea how to set anything up?(':
i dont even know how to set up SQL

what im looking for is basically a complete guide on how to do EVERYTHING from scratch. however any snippets of basic-advanced tutorial would be helpful


Oh yeah i forgot to mention, sql 2000 will not run on my computer as i have Windows 7.
so i took the liberty of substituting this with sql server 2008.
i have something similar to enterprize manager ( i think thats what its called)
but i have no idea what files i need to put where or what i need to do with the files
OR
how im supposed to run any of the files and whatnot.
Yes before its said. im completely new. im a complete idiot

First, good job downloading all the stuff
Second, you cannot run a Holley3.55 server on Windows7 unfortunatly
Third, Holleymir3.55 will run from Windows XP and if you do get that,, ill glady help you when you get stuck, as many people off here helped me and when you know how to do stuff,, hopefully you will help other people

it would be a local server so it wouldnt require huge ammounts...

What we could do is install XP on my latop hard drive......then when we need to! i plug it into comp! just put things so its a quick switch!?! work?

lemme know what you think boy! cos i really want to do it now haha!

You could also use a duel boot system, partition ur hard drive and put XP on it also, that shwat i did lol

Ahhh, that isn't a bad idea at all actually!
Once i've done this does anyone know of any complete guides i could follow?
even the basics are confusing me
i know what the files DO
i just dont know what to DO with the files

There is 1 or 2 guides on Mir Files (mf.kaorimir.com) that will tell you the basics of setting up ODBC and SQL. Just look in tools and for files called Guide

Yeh bud thats okay,, just make sure you have the XP disc with you cos you will need it
