I just wanted to ask if the server finds it easier to calculate this code:

let's immagine that in my case i dont really mind to have mobs in certain places of the map but in general all around it.. and let's immagine that the ammount of mobs is the same, do you think the server will be quicker at spawning them if they where in less lines like in the second case or it will be quicker in the first case?

only thing it affects is how it spawns

the 1st would be better than the 2nd.......... small amounts, lower spread, more coords

however, 1st way is also crap, because u cant just put coords 50 50, 50 100 etc

get proper coords......

thanks all.. i was just trying to figure out if it was much better or not.. since i could have used this method on about 50% of the maps on the server.. ovviously as you pointed it not the best for precise spawns but in most cases this is not required..

thing is if u juts do like 400 spread 400 spawn etc... they wont spawn 400 mobs.. it builds up gradeually... and not only that nbut they will all just bunch into a corner / next to a wall.. rather than actually nice and spread out

yes i realised that bunching next to walls and around the main coords spread.. probably it's only dued to a wrong random spread function used inside the server files.. i'm actually looking at this part of code to see if there is a way to lower the memory usage and speed up the mogen process.. not that this is fundamental but it would anyway be nice..
