Mp3 help

Right well i dunno how to explain this lol but im gonna try.

Earlier today i was trying to burn a cd for my cars cd player but its also an mp3 player so i can have a disc with say 400 songs on or sumthing and itll work yet.. i bought some discs and tried to burn mp3s to 1 and it wouldnt work unch: i suspect its becoz the discs i bought are dvd Rw's instead of CD R'WS?

anyway the help i need is how do i burn alot of songs to an CD r/w disc it only lets you do a 99 song limit :S yet ive had a cd with 200 and odd songs on in my car before.

If anyone could help i would really appreciate it if i havent made sense then let me know lol

I think it depends on what size the disk is, I cant read it my eyes are shattered lol.

100 songs in MP3, with each track being approx 7-8MB in size which would be correct for 3-4 minute songs at about 256-320Kbps bit rates.

200 songs in MP3, with each track being approx 3-4MB in size which would be correct for 3-4 minute songs at about 128-190Kbps bit rates.

Or a mixture of different bit rate tracks and track lengths etc. etc.

This is based on the disk being 80 minute. or 700MB

EDIT: just noticed the bit about disk types. I cant see how a normal in car player would be able to read a DVD! Unless its a CD/DVD player, in which case you should be able to burn several hundred or more tracks to it in MP3 format.

lol yeah i didnt realise the whole DVD disc thing until i had done the disc and i thought ah fk it ill try it anyway but thanks alot m8 thats helped alot actually gunna burn a cd in a few mins try it out thanks for your help Insane bud

i would rather 200 songs on 1 disc, i have at least 50 discs in my car and its flippin annoying searching for a specific one. If i had 200 Id just print off a tracklist or something. Wish my car had an mp3 player >.<
