The server and everything appears to load up fine, no errors afaik

Can create account with the launcher, log into the account, but as soon as you get to char select screen you have this:

im guessing its just the bit saying you need to make a char but i dunno.
error1.JPG

and then after a second or two this pops up:
error2.JPG

So im guessing that theres probly something wrong with the IP addresses somewere.
Any help with exactly what IP to put were, like were to put LAN IP and were to put WAN (and were to put 127.0.0.1?).

I've followed the LSGuide but it gives those errors at Select Character screen.

Thanks.

that is related to the ip in
tbl_selectgateips

thanks, i changed the ip in there to the lan ip, rather than wan (the guide said to put WAN there), and now i can make a char, however i get the same message error popup when notice should come up.

Not sure which IP i should change

in tbl_selectgateips
you see 4 fields...
servername = it should match every where.
ip = net ip unless you are still in testing stage then use 127 or 192 ones
port = 7100 unless you change it
gametype = MIR3

is it possible to get a server available over the net aswell as LAN at the same time?

Because the server runs fine on the local network, just need to see if can get it online and on lan at same time.

or is that not possible?

With the IPs set up as in the LSGuide, and the client on the host machine and other computers on the network have the ip set to the WAN one, it says server offline in the launcher, with the IP in the client set to the LAN IP it all works fine until the select character screen.

you will have 2 IPs on each computer
Sample
Your server 192.168.1.2
Your net ip is 123.123.123.123

Server 192.168.1.2 mask 255.255.255.0 and 123.123.123.123 mask 255.255.255.240
Lan 1 192.168.1.3 mask 255.255.255.0 and 123.123.123.124 mask 255.255.255.240
Lan 2 192.168.1.4 mask 255.255.255.0 and 123.123.123.125 mask 255.255.255.240

yes you should use static lan ip (192.168.x.x)
and that's all you have to do
you should be able to connect through lan using your netip.
