Chinese has separate symbols for male/female. If I was in China I should be able to tell which washroom to enter, also recognize names of colors and numbers one to five, I could almost get by
Translating programs need full(er) context to do good job. Like if you divide sentence at some points, you get different meaning of each part. That means translating short menu terms that are not standard names is usually iffy business.
That panel translation above looks too good to come from an automatic translator program, although if that was done by hand editing, why would it come out like this? If done by a program, I want to know which one.
I look around at other translators when I have problems but in the end, I always return to Google translate.
When it comes to images, it translates text in them really well but erasing the original text and writing translation over the same area has poor results, most frequent being too tiny font, almost non readable.
You have the option to copy only the text, but that would be much more helpful if it indicated spacing between parts of the text as it was on the image. If you tried image translation, you will know what I talk about.
