Problems with a game (Savage)

My mate got a new computer, he downloaded and install Savage, but when he plays it it's really choppy and he's got like a 200+ ping, it's a complete fresh install of XP and using the latest ATI GFX drivers.

It's wierd, because when he plays the game on his old PC it runs fine.

Any suggestions on the problem would be great.

Spankyou.

He's tried playing with the Savage settings to no avail.

The comp plays other games like Warcraft 3 fine.

He said could it be to do with the fact he plays it on his 17" FlatScreen monitor? I replied no but he wants you to answer. =/

He said it runs "OK" but when a big battle kicks off his ping raises and it's like he's stuck in a lag wall or something.

It's fine playing on his other PC though, which is on the same Internet connection. His other PC is a much lower spec, too.

Well, there could be several reasons, faulty drivers, the game files are a little bit corrupt, spyware hogging up the resources...

Doesn't matter how good the PC is, spyware could hog up all your resources...
