Bearing in mind I ran a server for nearly 2 years and that server has never left, been altered or anything else on my server but it's been inactive for about 2-3 years. I have managed to get it back online so that I can log in, make characters, etc etc.... But there are problems, the experience bar doesn't move as I kill, starter kit not produced in bag, which it used to..... any ideas??

I just want to potter about on this for my own amusement, sorry but not considering launching it again. :S

ODBC fine, IP's seem to be fine, can't figure out what's wrong to do this....any ideas?

it's cracked... will try netcheck/loader and server reinstall during week. have followed normal netcheck/loader and correct order of starting server but maybe over past 2 yrs something got corrupted with files. Good job everything backed up :) Thx for thoughts.

re-cracked using armadillo. still no joy, exactly the same. I am wondering if I have netcheck or loader in the wrong place in my files as it appears in a couple of places. can someone tell me where they should be run from to make sure they are in the correct place please. If any screenshots or details needed to solve this please enquire. I still can't believe it's not working as the files are as I left them from years ago and the PC hasn't done much else in that time. Hope I don't have to start from scratch....

Its all about netcheck. You DONT RUN NETCHECK AT ALL or uncorrectly!

Make sure u start netcheck together with loader and use the trick to uncrack them by selecting both in taskbar and closing them, it will make them run, then u start net check, after that loader. and there u re stats, everything will run perfectly.

ok,

1. start sql
2. Loginsvr
3. MirLogin
4. HolleyDBSrv
5. Started netcheck then loader (held ctrl, secected both, right click and close, then clicked ok on loader then netcheck....cannot do other way round as throws up error).
6. CruelDragon automatically runs (no errors or exceptions)
7. Selgate
8. Rungate

Login, server online, char select, logged into GM which is level 5000 and error came up, game version incompatible.
Login as regular character and get the screen in first post - can one step then one step move.
Login as newly created character and can move freely, fight and kill but no exp recorded.

Sounds like version error but I installed backup when server went offline and everything was working at version 3.55 for over a year.... puzzling. suggestions?

Get horrid feeling it's start again from scratch but there is thought in back of mind about sql not knowing running version 3.55 and I did something to change it from 3.36 to 3.55 (am getting old and forgetful lol)

the game version incompatible may be of some bug items, you can move on 3.55 3.56 more better. thats my opinion

As you realise new character is not saved yet that is why he works for u at the beggining, but when u log off it doesn't right? > simply because he wasn't saved properly for some reason. check for errors, but exp not recording is more likely to be some problem in cd.ini, wrong settings... have a look in there. I'm not sure what can cause it, mir is a trick thing>

About GM char lvl 5000 check cd.ini again, if u allowed characters to be over lvl 5000, and yes check the items as well.

New character is saved - It does save the character but not it's position, exp, etc....
Not seeing any error messages.
CD.ini is 客户端版本号=20040922
I have even tried logging in using stings client, logs in but same problems. All that tells me is the problem is server side and it kind of makes sense that it must be sql... think I am resolved to reinstalling sql and setting up odbc etc again. sounds like not talking to one another.

I did read above BUT.... I just reinstalled ODBC and started server, when started game login loader guess what, an error, LOADER is wrong version, is 3.36 and needs upgrading to 3.55 now there's some progress, I remember my virus checker deleted loader and netcheck as virus and I had to reinstall rom a backup, maybe the backup was wrong version eh?! ;) Now where do I get 3.55 version.....kaori????

Think I've decided nothing wrong with files so turned attention to sql and communication with sql.... guess what though I have opened ports a check using canyouseeme shows not open. Scratches head.
