I've played Eve on and off over the last year or so but find the grind a bit, well, a bit of a grind !
I found a short route between an asteroid belt and a station so I've been mining Concentrated Veldspar.
I've made enough to buy a slighty larger ship and now have more mining lasers.
Is there a more lucrative product to do runs on ?
Its a great game with some weird music and effects and great graphics. Its just damned hard to make some decent money.

go for some golden omber in 0.5-0.6 sectors

or, so some encounter missions and salvage the wrecks. this is the best way to make easy money for ne wplayers. i made 1-2m a mission after 5 days of play.

Thanks for that, I'll have a look.

What are the penalties you get if you salvage a floating container belonging to someone else ?

I think your security rating will drop, and the person whos container you salvaged, will have the right to kill you in any sector.

The quickest way is to be a complete moron and spend £1000 on those websites where you can buy gold and powerleveling, that is the quickest way.

Quickest way is to get a mining character go 0,0 and mine.
Only problem is you'll need another person who hauls it for you and also has some one to tank the damage from the rats (mobs) or theres a much more big of a problem were 0,0 is a kill zone and is highly populated.. Not to forget to split it 1/3 with the other parties. Answer to your question is buy 5 accounts, 5 computers side by side. 3 mining characters, 1 hauler and 1 tanker. Got love farmers or multiple account users ^^

Other than that its a very good game so far i love rpg/rts type games.

To get the most out of eve though you need a couple accounts atleast to stay against the big boys or get the most out of it. Which imo is wrong, eve also know this cause they had a 6 month offer on a second account oppose to your main... plain wrong/money scam

made easy isk just ratting in neut 0.0, try CVA space, as long as your sec rating is neut or above they will let you rat freely, 1mil bounty BS spawns and the occasional faction, made a good 500mil ratting there on an alt account in a **** skilled raven.

Nothing in Eve is quick.

From the Start your best way to make "isk" is to Rat in belts or Anomlies and mission Running.

'Mining' - is a VERY Difficult to start off doing and doesnt get easier but eventually you will break even - in reality most miners are industrialists so they are producing of the back of there mined goods.

'Ratting' - always a good money spinner, popping and salvaging and dropping of haul into a station. rince and repeat.

'Missioning' - now this is more benefical in the long run for anyone who stays in High or Low Security (Sec) space. each mission gives rewards that increase your standing with the mission givers 'Corp'

- which in turn reduces the Tax in 'Npc' Corp controlled Stations.

- which in turn Gives you Loyalty Points (LP) to buy goodies like ammo, modules and ships

Hope this helps

the Thing about Eve is, It is a SECOND Job. you will lose sleep over it until you are able to stableise your self. (IskStable - when you are able to buy plex's everymonth to off set the subscribtion.)

until then you will have to pay a subscribtion.

the LEARNING CURVE is VERY STEEP it is not a game for the faint of heart or new people to mmo's, prepare to be overwhelmed and wondering what the hell do you do.

also, one more note.

alot of people at the start are told to specialise in 1 thing e.g industry/mining /ratting/pvp. i say forget that - try everything even if you are an avid pvp player, industry could well be the thing in Eve you excel at.

ohh yeah and get into a player corp asap. one that will help you get started with advise etc.. etc..
