what os are you on, can you post a screen shot of the error, can you describe in better detail for me exactly whats gone wrong?

well atm i cant get my mir working on my comp nemore now that i have this gay Belkin 54g router which non of the guides work for, so v3 project is surpended due to me not being able to work on it (via testing and such)
once you hide the prog click the image that appears to resize it, i didnt no how to use the menu editor when i made v1.8 =`P

Its not hard to setup regaurdless of the router.
Basic concept:
You have to find your pc's private ip address you can do this by clicking start -> run -> then typing cmd, then type ipconfig. It will be something like 192.168.x.x
Login to your router's admin panel and find the page that allows you to input ports to foward.
Then you put in the port, TCP of course, and the your private ip address.
example: 7200 TCP 192.168.x.x
Basicly if you don't understand.. your router acts as a gateway. People use your public ip address to reach the router then its up to the router to decide if it should connect them anywhere.. It checks that list for the port the person is trying to connect on.. if it finds it, it will then direct them to the private ip next to the port which is your pc which has mir running on it!
Public IP -> Router -> (If port is on list) private ip (which is your pc)
Oh yes forgot to tell you, your router asigns every PC connected to it a private ip.. these private ips are what identifies each pc on your network.. so for some one to connect you have to specify which pc has that open port! I hope you understand. :/

Doesnt seen to work for me, i think its the way ive configured the servers inis and ip for my comp 192.168.2.2 is the ip i used instead of 127.0.0.1

Im guessing its a DBServer or Selgate error

see that? I bet yours looks something like this:
Foundation Foundation 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 192.168.2.2:7100 or
Foundation Foundation 127.0.0.1 192.168.2.2 192.168.2.2:7100
192.168.2.2:7100 is what the loginserver sends to your client which is what your client will use to connect to the selchr gate.. now if its 192.168.2.2 which is LOCAL how is the persong oing to connect when hes not local? You need to make it your public ip.
try:
Foundation Foundation 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 PublicIP:7100 or
Foundation Foundation 127.0.0.1 PublicIP PublicIP:7100 or
Think first one should work.

sorry i had to formatt my pc after i tried to install Travia Server files ODBC.reg which totally balls up my pc (WiseWarrior here)
as I dont use MS loopback and 127.0.0.1 doesnt work on my pc and the fact that my error happens with me playing local aswell as online, i dont see how putting;

will work. In my !Addresstable i have

yea im sorry about this, My webhost is taking the piss. Its been over a week (nearly 2) since they started "upgrading to another server"
I was given no warning by my webhost so i had no chance to backup and get a backup host running before they decided to do this, neither do i have a definate date wen they will finish there "upgrades"
Please bare with me, as soon as they do whatever there doing links will be backup
I will hopefully have a temp DNS link to my files provided to me within 24hrs but if that isnt soon enough for you =`P then I hope someone can send u this file

How can you not test it? Does it not just start the files and what not? Why would you need to actually get ingame etc. If itswriting to the .inis properly then I don't see why you need to get ingame. Of course correct me if i'm wrong.
i will, first off im doing the "laggless config" on inis, second im making an npc editor, no in game testing of npcs it makes = no way to be sure my coding is correct. DB editor needs to be test in game aswell as out of, and a few other feature i plan on but wont give away as i currently have no clue about how to program them in VB ^^
However if you have a spare 5 minutes for a VNC session to see if you could identify my problem, or even brain storm on it, i wouldnt sya no ^^
