whenever i turn on dell laptop it comes up with



bcmwltry.exe application error



the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142) click on ok to terminate the application



i click on ok



guess ewhat the popup box keeps appearing and cannot get into my windows



how do i change this without formatting hdd

That sounds like a badly coded application, or one that required .net framework to run (ATI Catalist drivers do this without the .net framework too)

You can disable it from loading up by tapping F8 whilst the PC is booting up, going into safe mode, then clicking start > run > msconfig > and then startup

tried goin into safe mode, but when i do screen just sits there blank with

xp service pak 2 etc etc etc at top and bottom and doesnt load up

ok i have managed to start windows in safemode with command prompt, and deleted the file using it from system 32, now after i click name and put in pass and clik ok it stops at background and has no windows no tool bars no menu or nething i can bring up the task manager with ctrl alt del but thats that, it wont startup properly any1 advise plzzz?

in taskmanager go to New task n type explorer. See if that brings up ur desktop..?

I would say something has been corrupted by the looks of that.
