Setting up a server for offline use.

I would like to test my server offline, but whenever I follow the guide on www.fernys.co.uk, I still get the "Connection Closed" error. I don't particularly want to use the ones in the sticky as they are 1.9, and have nothing to do with my server.

If needed I will post screenshots.

u useing 1.4 exe and iniS?

check all your ips and server name

Screenshot your serverside programs and btw ice, you dont need to set up the server for it to work with a router if your using it offline :P

I'm putting it up to test on a 576kbs modem, but theres no router...

I've changed the IPs i've been told to change to 127.0.0.1.

Yes, thats the idea.

Change ALL the ip's to 127.0.0.1 all the server names to ktest (or w/e you want), change the inis in your client to connect to 127.0.0.1 ktest and your done
