Ok... so editing the DMG Numbers
you can open the files using :
DataViewer.exe
After you have found the Magic image / Damage Numbers you are looking for...
You can change them via PhotoShop.
But if you change the actual image it may not work as planned unless looks very similar to the last image.
I had changed the Damage counter , Healing , Critical's and buff effects
So this can be done pretty easy ..
I am trying to find some old TGA files so i can give you an example.
But speaking of Damage Counters , you can find these in Heroes files at Heroes-Mir2\CustomData\Interface.Data
The first few lines are the numbers used in Heroes in the image below
Now if you had a coder you could change these much easier, or even add Bleed Effects ect with new Damage Counters for them
I am Currently looking into Necrotic Damage - so this would be a Deep Purple Damage Counter
But Player will need an Enchantment to add 1% added Damage as Necro (undead)
also to Deflect that there is a counter Enchantment that would offer 1% Holy Radiance as a Damage Buff
so the Damage Counter for this would be Golden.
once i get these in place , ill send over an example for you to work from if needed

PHOTOSHOP - REMEMBER BLACK IS INVISIBLE
Make sure when you use black in photoshop, you move it from #000000
and use #020202
Don't do the mistake i think most of us have done and use #000000
as when you go in game the image will look distorted and out of place with no black background.
I don't have an example image for this unfortunately
