Re: Server files

Why would you want to improve your Delphi skills? If programming is something you want to do in your life, dont use Delphi, it will only lead your down a path of bad practice and give you a legacy pascalian mind set, if you are serious try Java or .NET.

Or if you are just doing this for fun then good luck!

well atm i do class for C++ but tbh delphi and C++ look the same for me i mean every coding language should look the same ?
i know there r differences but in the end the structure is the same and its all about applying good algorithms :)

for me its relaxing to code but if it wouldn't be for mir then i probs cba using delphi
but this way i also learn new things and do some useful **** :P

Doesnt really matter how it looks its the API behind it that defines a language, .NET and Java is well documented and you can do a lot more easiar using them. But if its just fun then Delphi is fine.

Aftr reading half the comments that make me wonder wtf you are doing. The concepts pretty simple...They can release if they want to, it's facts- they put in ALOT of hard work, why should they have to release? Because the games dying...Okay so it's alright for you to cry a river of how they are damaging the mir community by not releasing, instead of caring enough to make your own set of files. So until you do that, you have no right to tell ben or kyn or lcd about their files...

Why do people always say this? People have always released things on lomcn, it's the whole reason the site was created in the first place. Just because they're not a set of files doesn't make any difference, the point is effort and time has still been put into whatever it is. Coding isn't everybody's forté, just as maps, scripts or graphics isn't. For example many people have released whole sets of server files in the past, simply because their server is no longer online and they have no reason not to release them to the community because it'd just go to waste otherwise. Nobody's forcing anyone to do anything, but imo the majority are well within their rights to call it selfish.

The whole point of Lomcn? Who ever said Ben worked for lomcn? It's simple for him really, the guy earns money out of the hard work he put in, if nobody cba to put up a decent pair of files...his server will become a monopoly which for him is brilliant. Your logic is flawed for two reasons 1) He has no obligation to look out for the interest of LOMCN 2) I thought LOMCN was a place for people who WANT to share their files and general mir...

My point is very simple, he doesn't want to release. Calling him selfish etc is hardly worth it, move on...there's so many users here- ask one of them to release something. It does not make someone selfish because they don't want to release they're work, it's personal choice. Yes people specialise in different things- but evidently him and Matt took a whole lot of time to develop 4h, they can run it till they can't anymore. And hopefully after that they will release, and if mir dies before than. Nobody can blame them, because majority of us sat on this forum for a year crying for them to release them...instead of learning something and actually trying to make our own releases.

Who mentioned Bon? Or 4h? I wasn't talking about nor referring to either you ignorant buffoon. You're obviously one of his bumders though who assumes everything is about him or his server. Quite sad.

Learn to read then get back to me.

Were you born a spaz or your parents hit you with a frying pan? I mentioned 4h...why ask some retarded question. I quoted your arguments and used my subject as an example. I don't think 4h is everything really, but evidently is the most complete server out. Learn to develop a decent argument you little geek troll. Don't cry cause you got schooled by someone who actually has a life- never insulted you first, keep it to the argument...instead of hitting your keyboard repeatedly in rage. Kthxbai.

Your post started with:

The whole point of Lomcn? Who ever said Ben worked for lomcn?

Thus suggesting that at somepoint in my previous post I had said someone called Ben worked for LOMCN, and it went on from there. You clearly didn't understand my post and are now getting worked up because I called you a buffoon. Which is what you are.

As I said, learn to read. Kthxbaifromtai (see, I can do that too. Can I be in your cool club?)

Because obviously most of the thread people have been complaining about his release, so simply using ben as an example and defending his case. I'm not worked up. I'm mellow dawg.

Finally atleast someone cares about mir ect Alex. Im glad your helpin the community with doin fixes on a 2.6+ files. When you have completed them im sure mir will come back on top of some games :) Keep up the good work and Good luck.

@Ben

If someone made a guide on codin im sure some people would try it out. Since there no guide its goin to be pointless puttin numbers and letters down if they dont do fa.
