Just run the blizzard updater once u have tbc, then it will get u to 2.40+.

dont download the patches just re-do realmlist after tbh

When you've got wow + tbc installed just run the launcher and the blizz updater will come up and patch everything

will take some time though but faster than downloading all the patches imo.
