My laptop - Sony Vaio VGN-FZ21M
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz
Display - 15,4
Resolution - 1280x800
HDD - 200 GB
Memory - 2048 MB
Graphics card - NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT
Optical Drive - Blu-ray

Couple of things I dont like about it. It has poor battery life and gets extremely hot after leaving it on for like 30mins lol

turn your screen brightness down that really kills battery life

Sorry for bump, not been on these forums for around 2years.

Anyway my system I built a few months ago now.

E8400 Stock 3.0GHz (over clocked to 3.6GHz)
4GB OCZ 1066 RAM
800 Watt PSU
Artic cooler pro 7
500GB Samsung spin point SATA HDD
Soprano air cooled gaming case (2x 120mm fans front and back 1x 80mm fan on side) with blue neons
LanParty x58 mobo
Radeon 4830 x2
Soundblaster sound card
Windows vista x64 Ultimate and XP service pack 3 on duel bootup
Logitech mx518 gaming mouse
19" hp LCD monitor 2ms refresh rate

Still have a couple of things to upgrade like my monitor as it only runs at 1440x900 resolution. But my PC can run basically anything on max settings apart from GTA4 it just runs on high at around 55FPS.

Its nice n quick. Getting more affordable now too. A must if you go for an i7 processor but definitely helps with other chips too.

Got 2 mates who built/bought an i7 with DDR3 and they reckon its the bees knees. When I built my system I had limit funds and the i7 and DDR3 RAM was just mega expensive. It seems to be dropping in price now though.

Saying that though, my system performs better than a standard i7 but once its been over clocked it would eat mine alive. with my system atm I get 880 average FPS on CS:S with max settings and around 55FPS on high settings with GTA4. and my system cost me around £700 to build and over clock.
