Which Router To Buy ?

Hi guys/girls having problems here with my router, here's my story

My next door neighbour has a 802.11n not sure on which model, and i have a netgear dg834gt (custom firmware) its adsl2,

It was fine befor they got this new router, but now i cant use my wifi, as it will not connect even if i tell my laptop not to search for other networks

What can i do guys ? ive just got a new 9 dBi Wifi Wireless Antenna thats made no diffrence at all

Buy a new router 802.11n ? which one

You could try changing the channel your router uses if you haven't already done so.

Yer that was the first thing i tryed mate, before i got 4 bars on signal and best i can get is 1 or 2 but cant connect at all,
next doors is 5 bars in all rooms in my house

How is your next door neighbours ROuter stopping yours from working? :S

change the freguqency on your router to both N/G and drop channel to 6, if this doesn't work then you need a new router.

Turn the wifi off and buy a decent cable modem and use that for the wifi. the sky ones are known to be a bit poop. i would suggest a D-Link DIR-615 its the new one that virgin media send out and it can be flashed with dd-wrt which makes it very a very powerful tool
