well im gonna be buying a new gaming computer soon and im wondering what would be better, 32 bit or 64? i know 64 bit can have more RAM in so this would be better but ive heard it has a lot of compatibility issues so im stuck between the two...

any1 have any suggestions on which 1 to pick?

thanks

I run Winodws7 64 and i can tell you its much better than vista i'd download it then just buy when it's released. Windows7 32bit has problems with GameGuard which 64bit doesn't so if you enjoy F2P games scrap 32bit.

I work last days for Microsoft in Germany and the date for the release Window7 in Germany is 21.10.2009 for Normal Customer ;-) ... The new fixes in the latest build looks good and make some things very stable. With Office 2010 I believe it need some more time to get it stable, runs atm not so good and have many bugs.

to the Topic :
32bit vs. 64bit

Most of the Software you get is 32bit and use internal calls without Pointer, problem on this is thats the software don't run under 64bit.
Pure 64bit Software comes step by step but atm not so many (other PE header and so on)

64-bit.

I've got a free Windows 7 Upgrade, so i'll get that when it comes out.
Until then, stick with Vista tbh.

Hey since everyone's talking about Win 7 I might as well ask. Does anyone know if the upgrade will affect DRM software. I''m referring to the Securom in Crysis Warhead. I've used up 3 installs.
