xbox wired to pc help

My laptop connects to the internet via wireless adapter and i want to be able to connect to xbox live using a ethernet cable which connects from my laptop to xbox, but its not letting me connect, anyone help out?

Open network connections on your laptop, select both the wireless connection and the LAN connection. Right click them and click Bridge Connections.

I've done this and they both say 'Connected' but i can't connect to internet on laptop or live on xbox

try setting the dns manually on the xbox.

I did it fine (On Vista).

Just opened Network connections, and it all connected automatically.

But there was a problem when trying to play online, read up about it and alot of people have the same problem when connecting this way.

I just drilled a hole in the ceiling and put a cable from my room to the room with the router.

My mum didnt like it, but oh well, works like a dream! lol

Yeah I recently found out about the powerline adaptors, but I figure I could buy a wireless adaptor for about the same price as 2 powerline.

Oh well, mine runs fine through my pc anywho.

i just hacked a fonera turned it into a bridge and connected wirelessly via that.
