not every 1 wants a kitted up car some cars are nice enuff as they are bog standard such as mr2's supras, there are plenty u can do to them. but once u start kitting a car up other things have to be kitted to meet the standard tis like a disease that spreads thru the car.

VW's are heavy cars, hence why they struggle against some other cars.

Although the Golf GTi's are like **** off a shovel, especially the older ones

sum 1 sed astras r fast :S? my mums got the 56 reg new astra fing and its not fast at all, even with sports mode. the golf rips it apart

its the later Golfs which weigh a tonne, anything after a Mk2, mk3 GTI was slow and the Mk4's r just BOOOOOOOOOOOOORING, mk5's r nice thou

I paid 3700 for it.

dont want to do any of the big jobs like new coilovers to lower it or body kits etc cause its just a stop gap till i get the turbo version or a supra. In the summer with the roof off going round the b roads i dont think many cars can beat the experiance.

i want a twin turbo supra sum time in the future, seen sum on ebay capable of best part of 200 mph. seen sum 500+ bhp too japan ftw.

Although all the good bits r going on the Mini, Engine, 4pots etc and the rest will be sold off or scrapped =)

Mods: Can't list them all had 3 grand spent on it. Carbon fibre bonnet, super-chipped, engine rebuild, K&N air filter, uprated brakes, sports clutch, B&M Short shifter, chromed engine bay, samco hoses, angel eyes....many more.
Top Speed: Fastest Ive driven it at is 146mph, think that was pretty much top speed.
Insurance: Am 19, under my dads name £874, mods aint insured tho but the insurance company knows about them.

if ur mods rnt listed on ur policy, ur insurance will be void m8 =\

@ Colonel, Bits i need are the Engine/Box, Std Filter Housing, Carb Needle, 4 Pot Calipers, Vented Disks, Metro Hubs, Dizzy, n loads of little things.

my car's gots it MOT in August, and i have a feeling my head gasket may be leaking...
i can't get it checked till payday either, i can't afford to have it serviced

engine gets quite hot quite quickly, and white gunk around my radiator cap...hope it holds out till payday...
