yes i mirrored client for Extinction on my sabremir webspace it has no connection with my old server i just helped out by mirroring as i know alot of people have problems with Mega site not downloading for them

whats u with server ?

if you still have black screen issue after the java and framework fix then open up the mir2config.ini in your game folder and change
HighResolution=False to HighResolution=True and also
FullScreen=False to Fullscreen=True

that should sort it out aswell


also is the server offline at the moment?

Since i've just had a complete computer wipe, I've also had the black screen problem.

Please download .Net framework 3.5 (which includes 2.5 and 3.0)

Someone who has a constant black Screen,

Could you perhaps test this client for me?

The download should contain all you need, It runs on a test laptop without any extra work, It uses SlimDX rather then ManagedDX

1. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run and type in regedit

2. go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\ DirectDraw and change the EmulationOnly value data from 1 to 0(right click > Modify)

3. go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\ Direct3D\Drivers and change the SoftwareOnly value data from 1 to 0(right click > Modify)

i'm guessing your graphics 'card' (onboard chip) is just to old, it doesnt support any hardware vertex shaders etc
