I hate the soft hiss computers make; I'd rather a computer that made a noise like a tumbel dryer, the hiss is so annoying. Especially at night.

Right well after 3 nervous breakdowns, a hour of work i finally got it attatched, well it seems to have reduced SOME noise, but the main problem really is the GFX Card cooler, i ordered it and it should be here by next monday, it's a zalman something.

Which zalman did you get:

I'm unsure, they said that they have some sort of zalman cooling for 6600GT wich also has some cooling for the memory or soemthing like that, i didn't really have much time (was at the shop actually looking for new pants :P).

Hmm, well for such a bigass cooler i would of expected some decent temperature changes, but no... At 100% usage the temperature is still around 47-48C just like it was on the box cooler =/.

Erm, how should have i mounted it? I mounted it so the fan faces the back of my case, and i used the thermal paste wich was on the cooler.

How much thermal paste did you use? You can put the fan facing many ways, but facing the front of the case is best
Ok i'll try tomorrow with it facing the front, and thermalpaste... well there was about a 1 mm layer on the cooler.
