Hi i had my own server on my old pc but i had a big prb with my pc and had to reboot it and lost all my hard work that i put in to it that pc of running on windowns xp.I want to start agine but i cant find any that work on windowns 7 i need a link of some where where i can down load every think i need like server files cilent bd adminaster 2000 that dose not seem to work on windowns 7 so im not to sure hat to use i need every think i was hopeing to get some good up todate files.

If i was you, i would go for the easiest.. and that is heroes

sorry wat i mean is i use to run the files with bd 2000 but that program dose not work on windows 7 cuz its 64bit. could u give me a link for the hero ones i have looked om here but i cant find the rite things im looking for i want a link were i can down load every think with a guide to setting them but i found a few on here but some of the links say page not found any help would be great

thanks for the link mate but you have to down load every single file sepratley. and there is no guiide on how to set them up so i would not no where the files went and i have no programs to run the server like db adminastrater some one said i mite need microsoft program to run it

the link you gave me i have been copying and pasting them in to a mirserver file i made but i have been doing it for over 4 hours now is there any other way of dong this faster?

i have no found away of downloading them all now lol o have them do you have a cilent to go with files and do i need DB 2000?

Just follow these simple steps.

Download and install...
Tortoise SVN link (32bit) - http://sourceforge.net/projects/tort...se_mirror=kent
Tortoise SVN link (64bit) - http://sourceforge.net/projects/tort...se_mirror=kent

create a folder and right click and goto svn checkout and enter this link...

SVN Link (Server files)http://mir2-heroes.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/MirServer/

you don't have to use microsoft access (but dose make editing the db easier) as in the tools folder there is a program called mirdbviewer you can use that to view/edit the database located in the envir folder also these files no longer use dbcommander.

Yes an SVN system that allows users to easily stay up to date is a mistake... Tell me how is releasing a zip file with updates and thus requiring the users to download and extract multiple zip files in order of release easier??

Not only is the SVN system easier for us Developers to push updates out it's easier for users to get updates (Right click MirServer -> SVN Update) No longer do they need to find links, hope they works, then discovering that oh **** I need a a file that was only in an older update.

People like yourself make out the SVN system to be some complex system that's hard to understand, yet it can be set up in minutes, and keeps users up to date and even informs them visually when they're out of date.

But it's okay, I know you had issues understanding how to use the SVN System.

@MirKing69, perhaps before spending 4 hours downloading the files individually your time would of been spent reading the post lifco linked you too. Namely the very first words Get TortoiseSVN. But I guess it can be easily missed so I've made an effort to make that post easier to understand so that hopefully the issue won't happen again.
Please don't hesitate to post any other issues you come across btw, we're always happy to help people new to the files and get any problems they have sorted.

I'd just liek to point out that the Heroes files are the easiest to setup (Even with the SVN)

As milo's said, its easy and far less confusing than downloading multiple files.

hi guys i have downloaded the files with the program that you said told me to use lol was so much easier then coping and pasting lol.i have put the files in to my C:\ drive and called it MirServer.i belive befor i start the server i need a cilent so i can play the game where do i down load this to?thank you

everythink els looked like it stared ok but i dunno if its working becuase i got no cilent so i can play the game lol

Whats in your map folder?

C:\MirServer\Mir200\Map

Have you added the maps in the rar into that folder?

yer just done that now mate thanks. i loged on to the server now but it seems that the interface aint rite and when u click on the bag and stuff u cant see it.and all what are the GM commands.is there any way of getting it to look like the usa mir with potcash, fishing, maps, items, asssine,

thanks mate the interface is a bit better but all so when u click on bag and stull al u can see is the items and when you click on ncp al u can see is the righting u cant see the box that the righting is ment to be in if you no what im tring to say lol and for the GM command i stil cant find them lol
