I was secretly hoping you'd rebalance the entire game and make it so that potions were the same as Diablo. You an unlimited use potion that has a 40-60second cooldown.

Done something similar on my test files (with Crystal). Works so much better than pots, but adds other issues when considering the overall playstyle of Mir.

I've never been against it, just wanted to know his reasoning behind adding it in when it wasn't on Marble (if he was for the idea in general I thought it would have been on there is all). He's explained, which has sated my curiosity.

Well generally Mir2 auto pot is never done, because they are Heal over time.

You could have the auto pot function for example, when you're below 30% HP or something. But the auto-pot might spam like 20 potions until you reach back to 30% lol.

Mir3, the pots are instant and have delays between each one.

So when you set it to 30%, 1 pot might get you over 30% and stop, instead of burning half your bag lol. You could have the function for instant pots or a server that uses only instant pots...but most don't have instant pots on sale, nor is there a known delay between usage.

It would somewhat change the mechanics of Mir2 to have it implement properly.

Mir3 generally has more mana hungry spells that require instant potting, and works well with the delay between usage. In Marble I think he did a really nice change to the way they operate by having pots cast a "Buff" type effect, so that you don't need to spam 5 in a row, but just the 1 and not have to cast another until the first 1 finishes, or have the effect stack. Thought it worked quite well, wouldn't mind others adopting that.

But when just lvling away, it's so nice in Mir3 to not have to worry about using pots all the time and just let the game handle it :)

Elemental Calculations 100% fixed this time (they were not being calculated correctly, but effect was correctly displayed)

If everyone has AutoPot no one can claim someone else has a cheat.


Mir 3 pots are instant where Mir 2 were over time as such its very easy to lose pot speed for certain classes that need to use skills. Personally i believe it improves the game play having auto pot, you are able to focus more on the game rather than just the value bottom left of your screen.

Imo it makes the gameplay too easy. Back in the golden days this (potting) was considered a "skill" on it's own. @ least coming from a mir2 player pov...
But as u said..Mir 3 pots were always instant.

Ore Drops from the Zombies that Revive.
The Zombies that revive, have their Exp reward reversed (When you get full Exp you know its fully dead and has dropped).

Finally someone with respect to the coloured lighting system (shame no one took noticed when I added it!!!)

Looks great mate, maybe start work on shaders ? learn some real graphic coding ;)

I've been meaning to research HLSL but not sure how their implementation works with SlimDX and sprites.


The main HLSL that I am looking to create is to offset a texture's pixel(s).

but something for later.

Going to remove the coloured glows from floor items,

No reason at all other than I feel i need to harvest some of the carrots.
