im in the same boat, purchased my gtx 570 card which was 200 on its own. gayness in the anus. Costing an extra 550 to build it. Have a look at

Grab that bundle its a fairly decent deal, then just plonk a graphics card in, you may already have hdd, dvd drive, psu, if not definatly look into the SSD drives.

Agreed, there is no such thing as a cheap gaming machine! the cheapest your going to get a half decent gaming machine for is around £400-£700 and of course build it yourself, if your looking to just buy a pre built tower, dont expect much performance from it! This is going from personal experience, i went to pc world when i was younger paid about £900 for a pc package to later find out i could have built it myself for half the value or if you like have a machine atleast twice the performance for the money i spent.

Tai that was hardly slagging, i overlooked that post yes, but still.. a basic idea of what spec hes looking for or atleast which proccessor make he would like to go with would help pointing him in the right direction.

Just build your own, don't buy pre-built.
Those 2 that Zen linked have pretty bad GPUs in them for the price.

I left out optical drive as people usually have their preferences... I have a BD drive myself.
