Looping through the animations i can see in the lib files myself doesn't help lol

Thanks. 2 questions. Does the small Jar attack back? you didn't get close to it so couldn't tell.
It does a bounce animation, and also an explosion effect - is that when it attacks? I was expecting that to be when it dies.
Not sure if the 3rd one is on arti, but its the one with the most attacks

the small one doesnt attack the person on arti they both spawn mobs also both spawn 1 mob when jar dies
ill double check the explosion on small one for you now
ok no small one doesnt attack at all, doesnt seem to explode in anyway on arti

I've been looking at a vid on YouTube from official and it seems like its an effect on death when the mob spawns. Plus it has directions,which would indicate it's not just a cloud spawned on the player, they're usually just a single direction.

Think you were right - looking at videos again and the blue effect does hit the player. It must just be intentionally offset from the player instead of on top of them.
Changes the effects to be used to hit the player instead, and moved the spawn inside the Jar - think it works a lot better.
