Do any of you know a way I can mod the old xbox to play 360 games? Interested in this since my xbox has an increased hd. I don't mind comparative lower graphics quality/ performance etc.

No. The Xbox 360 is a completely different hardware architecture. The Xbox was almost like a "normal" Intel PC. The Xbox 360 has a custom built IBM PowerPC processor.
The Xbox had a nVidia Graphics chip. The 360's graphics are by a Ati chip.
So its impossible for the Xbox to play 360 games. Modded or not. However the Xbox 360 is able to play a lot of Xbox games through software emulation. However, you will need to have the Harddisk attached to the 360.
In short no an old Xbox cant play next gen 360 games

Well i know naff all about consoles but still made me laff, i would have thought u cud play xbox games on a 360 though thats how inexperienced i am, but i guess its like the old Master System/ Mega Drive scenario, totally diffrent hardware :P
