With all the Intel explois that have been discovered lately I would go for AMD. I don't know your budget but you could spend from several hundred to several thousand.

Not helpful to you, but the parts for that are like £400-450.
I don't like that computer at all. Plus, Amazon is essentially Wish now. I wouldn't trust any parts that came from there, no way would I ever buy a PC.

I bought my girlfriend a pre-made computer and the price was almost 1:1 if I were to buy the parts myself.Came to £1050 and her PC was £1100. They make profit from buying in bulk, getting discounts, they are a business and of course need to make a profit.

But if the parts totalled up comes no where near if you were to 'build it yourself' then I'd run a mile. Building a PC yourself is barely even worth it nowadays, but in the case of that PC, 100% go yourself. I recommend looking at some proper PC websites.

Happy to be corrected.

It's not that bad but I wouldn't buy it pre-built. You don't really know which motherboard and PSU you're buying and probably they are the cheapest and the worst. You're also paying like £100 for that Windows 10 which you could buy from ebay for £5.

And if you take a look at the technical details, the processor is not the 9400F advertised but a 8400 which is not that different but I wouldn't trust anyone who tries to shove up your ass a different product than the one advertised.

Probably someone from the UK can tell you where to buy a PC. There should be a lot of places where they sell the parts and even build and test them for you.

Thread moved to the hardware section, btw.

Adding up all the parts comes to about £630 by my new mark up, and I don't think 'windows' is being added on top. Most companies just use dodgy versions like everybody else, or buy em super cheap. But like you said, if they are willing to mislabel parts like that I'd be cautious.

If I was feeling lazy and had faith in Amazon, I'd buy that PC no problem. A 1660 'super' will play everything you want at 1080p. My only issue is the PSU, I always buy a stronger PSU. I think the total wattage will come to like 350-400 in that PC. Giving you 100 wiggle room, which will reduce over time, and like you said, might be a piece of **** junk PSU that they've put in.

Are you looking to build brand new or source some used parts? And your budget is around £700?

Attached what you could roughly get for around the £700 mark new. There are obviously some things that can be altered to bring the cost down or if you really wanted swap around for a slight boost on performance and taking a hit to your storage, it really depends on what you would prefer.

If your willing to try and get some used parts for the build we could work out something a bit cheaper and all round better performance as a whole.

If you want drop me a PM and ill have a chat with you about your options and see if we can get you a good system built.

Check out some sites like overclockers or pcspecialists, they are pretty decent with there prices and really good support/warranty if needed

It's cool been speaking to him on discord and putting a system together, think he's gonna be ordering some parts soon and I'll walk him through any problems he comes across building it.

Only thing I have come across thats annoying right now is the gpu market tbh, nvidia and their stupid multi releases.. AMD 5500xt being a let down and no good gpus for sale around his area leaves us with a 1660 Super 😑. It's a good card for what it does but let's be fair a vega 56 can be had second hand for around £150 and that will smoke a 1660 Super and give extra budget to do a cpu upgrade.

I’m sure after 9 months he’s built it by now...well let’s hope so. But he should update what he went with 👍🏻
