Socket Read Error

ok, ive searched b4 any1 asks and got nothin of any help. but when i get more than 2 people logging on to ma server i get an error saying "7200 Client-SocketRead function is not work!" i have no clue what its on about or how to fix it (hence ma post ! ! !) can any1 help???

I had that, not sure what it is, it just sorta dissapeared on its own for me :s

ive ran a few tests on it and after i get over 2 people connecting on ma server i get REALLY BAD LAGG, did u change anythin at all m8 in the slightest way???

LMAO that little bugger
it pops up in the to left corner on your server
had it for a while then it went away when i updated my server hardware
myself or host did not have a clue what it is/was so we left it alone
it did not effect my server in any way at all

your lag issue maybe related to something else

yeah thats the anoying little SH*T. i cant see were the lag could be comin from other than that TBH my pcs quite fast an ma connection is 2

Processor = AMD AthlonXP 2400+ running @ 2200
RAM = 1GB @ 400mhz
HDs = 2x 120GB Maxtor
Graphics = Geforce4 128mb
connection = 1mb blueyonder

do ya think McAfee IS 7.0 could have somethin 2 do with it?

Nope, i had it when high amounts connected, not low amounts, it doesn't affect the game, just bloody annoying.. I got more ram, and it never does it now

Not sure mate, Mcaffee always slows down my pc and i got

Pentium 4 2.8ghz
768mb Ram @ 333mhz
120gb Hdd
750k internet

It could be? Try closing it, if it don't work then not sure :S

"7200 Client SocketRead function is not work!"

This comes from the Gate Server.exe and pops up because your computer is either too slow or needs more RAM.

It can be used as an advantage though, because when it pops up it means something has been edited in the game. It could be alot of things though (cheats, mob spawns, gm making item etc).

But at the end of the day you have nothing to worry about, it will not affect your server.

I got this message "7200 Client SocketRead function is not work" this morning but on further investigation, there was a scheduled virus scan and the pc ran out of available resources.

I'm running on a slow pc to test bandwidth and speed, will add memory and try again.

Its just a regualar popup that appears when you run your server for a certain amount of time.

I have no idea what it is.

It means someone is getting lag. I am not sure if it can be hexed out :P
