sql 2000

I cant get the database to add. it says there is too many to add or something. been told this is becouse its a sql 2005 version and there should be another file i can use but i cant find it.

can someone tell me what the name of this other file is and if its not there tell me where i can get it from.

its when im restoring the database for a 2.3 mir 2

look in the db server folder should be a 2000 and a 2005 db

just try to restore any of them untill 1 works

the one that says restore this is for 2005 use mir2000dbbackup or something

When I tried a few weeks ago to do this (boredom) - the files either: missing link OR don't have 2000 db.

i just used that file and it didnt come up with any errors. thanks for that shabalabalong was a big help. just have to see if i can get the server to work now lol

add the maps from your client to the server files C:\MirServer\M2Server\Map

i have put all the maps off the client in the M2Server folder. and yes in the maps folder

The file path is wrong in !setup.txt (M2server folder)

look for this bit near the bottom of the file

your MapDir= line will be different, if you change it to what i got there all should be ok.

loginserv and login gate are off screen so i cant see them or move them. i get this any ideas whats wrong now?

You have to remove a bit from it but cant remember what >< mine looks like this

ok i did that all looks ok to me. but i now get connection closed when trying to run the game. can someone tell me exactly how to set the client up to run the game. (i have put mir2.exe in the folder and changed a file it must have been the wrong one)

are you running it offline or online? have you added the mir2 exe from there server to the client and also the mir2 ini ?

its running offline i always make sure i get servers running offline before trying online (dont think ill ever put this online)

there was no mir2 txt file in the server files i downloaded
