i know for a fact he has the files as we had been speaking a few months back when he first bought them..

and if you lot didnt know there is lots of free versions of the files available but i think they are time locked , i used to be able to run a set of files and connect but for some reason now all my gates run yet i dont get the welcome screen anymore.

personally i think u should all stop havin ago at lifco lol, hes tryin 2 put up a decent server with new features and that and all ur doin is flaming him

if there are all these backdoors and ****, why not help him find them and stop them lol?

I've nothing against him setting up the server, or in any way believe his enthusiasm is misplaced.

But anyone can be the trusting fool who gets shafted. And that's a LOT of money involved. If we didn't care - surely we'd simply not post at all?

You ask why we don't help him find any problems - because that's his responsibility, and I'm not being paid to do it. That simple.

Latest news, ive got the point system fully working now with no problems at all, it was not keeping the stats you added once you loged out... this has been tested and its fully working now.

if you dont know what this is, its a system that works on points, points are gained by leveling up (only way) and you can add DC,SC,MC,HP,MP etc iam happy this is working as its a nice extra thing we have

Err Auron that has been in mir files since Plumewind which was what 2004? the DM2 files should also have the function since they used Plumewind as the base.

Just need to use qfunction @levelup script to add the points when you level the ability window button will auto appear.

Can't beleive of all the things the hero files have you mentioned a system that is extremely old Lif lol

from now on you dont get the msg XXX exp gained... it flash's for 2secs at the top left of the screen, this keeps the chat screen more free for pm's etc

Besides, it is my opinion that all 'enhanced' clients we've had thus far have sucked harder than a turbo powered Dyson. They've been made by idiots with no concept of balance or gameplay. [I've not played/seen thedeath's flavour of Mir2 yet, so leave that exempt]

both systems are working and the SW 7 day wage is in effect and fully working (ive tested)

that means any one holding sw for more than 7 days gets a bonus (and its nice)

Server ETA is around christmas i think.

hero files are generaly considered next generation files and take lots of work to turn them into a working server.

any server using hero files should be good as it will generaly support more spells which is one of the things we never see on mir unless they are office ones.

The Server is coming on very nice now, as you may or may not know iam useing the latest hero server files with double the skills that the 2.3 has now...

Main Things The Server Has

A real hero (clone/slave) this hero levels just like, it uses the same skills you have, so if you are a wiz it only uses wiz skills... the hero can pick up items and it has its own bag this is unlike any clone/slave you have seen before, with its own hp/mp level on screen.

Skills, you have never seen as many skills per class on any other mir server, with some new skills that only work as a group and many just solo.

Stuff you would get in a 2.3 server like trust merchant, guild npc, crafting etc.

As you know the 1.9 client i used on my old server was the most packed client that you could get and this new hero client will be even more packed with cool armours/items/weps etc.

iam looking at beta testing in a few months then fully online by xmas 2007

THE BAD NEWS

The server is at 85% translated and the client at 60% this will be all sorted in the next few months.

Leos Sig says we are running a 1.9 server but i can assure you we are not..
We are lucky really tho that leos sig picks up our server in the first place so iam happy. we are more advanced than any 1.4 /1.9 / 2.3 that has been made or in the makeing..

If i am rite every server you have had has always gone down and then came back with a char wipe , how do we know that this server is gonna stay so we dont waste our time leveling and then it goes down ?
