how do u sto the pause on blizzard and metoerstrike when ur hit
ur be just starting the spell and u freeze for a few milli seconds then u have to w8 for the delay to come off to use these 2 spells again

I am using SQL 2005 On windows vista Home edition and on 'm2server' i am getting this error :

my AVG keeps flagging up viruses that are the exe's that i need to run the server so they get deleted or become unuseable any ideas

Its avg mate. Its happening to every one, either add the exe's to exceptions in avg or change anti-virus, only way round it.

i tried that exe thing b4 posting but i just uninstalled avg and got nod32 and its fine now

When i download that Mirserver file and extract it, firstly it says that the dbserver,m2server,mir.exe and mir2.exe are trojans (But they aren't, of course ), and when i try to open either of them, the same message comes up

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I have administrator permissions on this computer, and i don't know why it does that, but it seems to do it to every mir 2.3 exe i find.

It's your Anti-Virus software. Add all the exe's to the exception list and it should be fine.

hey peeps dunno if ppl r still readin this thread bt could do with a little help iv d/loaded the server files etc and gone thru the help guide bt im avin problems with the SQl and restoring it. in the server files iv got Mir2(RestoreThis) bt its not working iv looked throught this thread and found that apparently i should have 1 called mir2(restoreNotAttach) and that 1 will work ? would b ever so greatfull for any help

There's two, don't restore the one saying mir2(restorethis), restore the other one and it should work.

Do you have mir2sql2000backup.db, if so please restore that.

sorted the restore thingy in the sql nw m8 no problems there i dnt think. how ever wen i boot my server up everything is loading bt once its loaded the DBServer is saying

n then it just stays on GateDisconnected ? u ne idea what i need to do m8

Run through these things:

Ip's, servernames, Sql passwords and also make sure your database called mir2 or whatever it is called in the Setup.txt in Mir2000.

hmm been thru every thing m8 all is ok bt gates r still not connecting ? onli other problem is map quest npc aint loading in the m2server bt that shouldent stop the gates connecting. even tho its sayin gates closed i can get to the char select screen bt it wont let me make a char im assuming this is because the gates r not opening ?

check the dbsrc.ini file in the dbserver folder to make sure you have entered the correct database name, username and password in there for it to connect to your sql database

are you using sql2000, sql2005, xp, vista?
